Rare military pocket chronograph for navigators, issued to the US Army.
Large aperture steel case with special screwed back (signed Breitling Watch Corp inside the cover and numbered, regulation numbering 5742-1). Black lacquered dial with two counters and hollowed-out railway scale, minute totalizer at 12 o'clock, small seconds hand at 6 o'clock, chronograph release and reset at 12 o'clock by integrated pusher. Painted Arabic numerals and scale. Stylish luminescent hands.
This timepiece comes from a former US Army pilot, and is accompanied by an Army Air Forces Flying School - Napier Field Alabama logbook.
Movement: Mechanical manual winding caliber signed BREITLING WATCH CORP / Valjoux 5 Swiss (numbered).
