PORSCHE DESIGN (Chronographe Military Black / OTAN / ref. 7177), vers 1980

Rare version of the PORSCHE DESIGN "7177" Military fighter pilot's chronographs, series produced for NATO (full "workshop writing" version).
Built in few copies by the Swiss Orfina manufacture (under contract at the time with PORSCHE DESIGN). Legend says that this chronograph range was worn by the actors in the movie Top Gun. Hands and indexes in tritium, 3 o'clock "no-radiation" logo, "PORSCHE DESIGN" logo and Military crest at 3 o'clock. Black anodized steel case, smooth bezel, screwed and engraved steel back (Military and endowment reference, numbered). Black dial with three counters: seconds indication at 9 o'clock, 24-hour reading dial at 12 o'clock, airplane-shaped hands (orange mirage) for the minutes, date and days of the week by window at 3 o'clock (in English) and graduated bezel on the flange at 12 o'clock. Mineral glass with anti-reflective coating.
Delivered with a PORSCHE DESIGN black leather strap, a military NATO strap and a black anodized steel strap from the 1980s (2nd Generation).
Movement: Mechanical automatic winding caliber LEMANIA / 5100 Swiss.
